Would the team of Marathon Resurrection be willing to release the source code NOW so that a team for adapting Marathon 2 can be formed?
I don't think I have the adequet knowledge to lead the project (I know nothing of UnrealScript or Map building), but I can do things like sound, web-design, 3D and 2D artwork (3DS Max 4 and Photoshop 7).
It seems the team of M:R is ready to move on. I don't blame them. 2 years is a long time. M:R does seem far enough along to begin building the Marathon 2 remake.
So, is it possible to have the source code for M:R and can I get started on M:R 2 NOW?
I know there was a message posted about this before, but I'm not talking about having the original M:R team back to work on M:R2. You guys seem pretty tired of it!
Of course, I don't know if anyone else is willing to join Team Durability (MR2), but you gotta start somewhere, right?

I'm just throwing this idea out. I tried to push M:R, but I apparently arrived too late in the game. That's why I'm interested in beginning M:R2.
We'd be standing on the shoulders of giants by starting where M:R's source left off. Just as Bungie did for M1 to M2, we'd be exanding M:R.
