Then, I shall point out that maybe you have to look at it in 3d, that this might be a 2D snapshot of a three dimensional model of some kind. Yes I know the world is three dimensional, but latitude and longitude still assumes a flat surface.
By the way this was deduced by that tiny 3D axis to the right of the main picture.
