How do I install/extract UMOD?

I have a problem concerning the UMOD extensions. I have Unreal Tournament (Game of the year edition) installed but on some of the maps and all of the skinz I've downloaded I find UMOD. I'm not so very comfortable with the I-net and don't actually know where 2 go. If u could send me some help via e-mail or sumting I would appreciate it. I don't know how UMOD worx but I think its meant for Mac. I got a normal Intel. Is there some kind of program that I can use 2 extract/install this UMOD file? If so could u please attach it 2 an e-mail 2 me?
