That is one of the reasons I set up this channel on utgames.com -- see my earlier post for details. The idea is that you can "hang around" the channel, waiting for other players to show up. From there, you can gather net games and post a link -- link which the UT engine will recognize if you using UT's built-in chat client. Also, upon request, I'll change to "welcome" message to include specific player's availabilities, etc...
