SPEAK YOUR MIND
"Does the distance one travels from center make one more free
to move?"
"No. Freedom has two parts: potential and resolution; as
metaphor has two parts: form and interpretation. Of course,
the two are intertwined. Metaphor lines the road to freedom,
as symbols and words are the bricks and mortar of meaning.
Freedom is being the bricoleur, the mason."

You don't need 3D studio. The best option is MilkShape 3D; this programme allows you to read many of the current files, and also imports models into UT. You can use it to wrap any format of skin around a model (not the usual UT 256*256). It does take a bit of getting use to, and I am nowhere near using it to the full, but hey, download is free and after thirty days there is a whole $20 registration fee. Nowisn't that better than paying several thousand dollars?
For those of you who want to use the serial creater: It does not work (trust me), and register before your evaluation runs out - otherwise the programme gets intrepid.
Cracks: this programme is good, and none exist to my knowledge.
Otherwise: MilkShape 3D is about as good a programme as a small-town-operator could want.

Hope that helps.
