SPEAK YOUR MIND
"Does the distance one travels from center make one more free
to move?"
"No. Freedom has two parts: potential and resolution; as
metaphor has two parts: form and interpretation. Of course,
the two are intertwined. Metaphor lines the road to freedom,
as symbols and words are the bricks and mortar of meaning.
Freedom is being the bricoleur, the mason."

Textures need tweaking

I have been waiting a long time to see the Marathon aliens in 3D...and an even longer time to kill them in 3D. I can't wait to play the demo w/ all the aliens included....although, I think the textures on most of them need a lot more detail--they are a bit bland and anti-aliased. Some of the textures seem too flat (only on the models and from what I see in the new screenshots, the textures on the walls look fantastic). I suggest using a bump mapping technique from a simple 3D rendering program to give the textures more realism and depth. This goes for some of the weapons as well...especially the alien weapon--I can see the blurred pixels on the actual texture. I hope you take the textures into more consideration--but if not, it's ok because in the end all that matters is the gameplay, which is truely outstanding.
