If you just want a quick 'n dirty way (sorry for the pun), just create another layer on top of the texture, set for overlay, and add a tiny bit of monochrome noise. Then, play around with the noise. Do some Gaussian Blurs, some artistic effects (brush strokes and such), et cetera.
You'd be amazed at how far you can go by simply adding noise.
