the artic sea isint a huge blanket of ice, besides subs espeacialy the 1's canada bough have a reinforced comand tower so they can pierce tru thin ice and since diesels use snorkels they only need a hole a few inches (like 10) to pass the snorkel (then again they have to keep the sub steady).
anyway the only thing canada needs (military) is infantry since peacekeeping is a soldiers job all the other stuff we got (like Tiger tanks (world war 2 german tanks)) is to please aging pompous generals.
