: Bullshit, they had plenty of money from Myth.

Wrong again. Myth made enough to keep them employed for about a year or two, not enough for the 4 year production cycle Halo went through. We're not even counting advertising and promotion costs to get Halo to sell once they were finally done.

You must remember that even though Myth did well, it was no where near a Half-Life, or a Diablo phenomenon. Budget was tight, game development isn't cheap, it's a fact.
