SPEAK YOUR MIND
"Does the distance one travels from center make one more free
to move?"
"No. Freedom has two parts: potential and resolution; as
metaphor has two parts: form and interpretation. Of course,
the two are intertwined. Metaphor lines the road to freedom,
as symbols and words are the bricks and mortar of meaning.
Freedom is being the bricoleur, the mason."

Having played both mods myself, I can't but help share the same feeling. Rampancy and Resurrection together would be.... perfect. Even though I worship (to put it lightly) some of the frogblast maps, part of me simply cannot let go of the original Marathon textures. The high-res textures that M:R uses, which were built/re-built from scratch are just mesmerizing. (And if you've played M1A1, you know what I'm talking about.)
I think that the UT engine works really well with Marathon, and I would love to see the M:R project follow through as far as the solo play goes. Even some of the M2/MI maps would just be soooooo great in UT. Can you imagine Ne Cede Malis? Aw.....
Ever since playing the latest build of M|R, I can't say that I haven't been tempted to post what, for me, would be the the "ideal" build, but I think that would be ultimately counterproductive. Even though they share some talent, M|R and M:R are aiming for different goals.
If anything, my main wish would be to have a solid compatibility between M|R and M:R. As it stands, it's unfortunately impossible to play M:R maps with M|R weapons. I wish both teams could assign a liaison person to maximize compatibility between both mods.
