Marathon aliens not scary? - When a cloaked Comipler would slide down in front of you as you turned, it scared the bejesus out of me!.

I think what made Marathon special, was that it was ahead of it's time. I personally hated doom, because it looked like you where running around in decorated prefabs or something - Marathon's engine, although simple, generated world's that felt more real than any other 3d environment at the time - And you could get really *intimate* with some of the maps.

I have wondered what it would be like if Bungie had a go at producing a new version of Marathon - but I think that what the Resurrection boys are producing is pretty-much how it would look, and I'm sure Bungie would be proud!
