SPEAK YOUR MIND
"Does the distance one travels from center make one more free
to move?"
"No. Freedom has two parts: potential and resolution; as
metaphor has two parts: form and interpretation. Of course,
the two are intertwined. Metaphor lines the road to freedom,
as symbols and words are the bricks and mortar of meaning.
Freedom is being the bricoleur, the mason."

Actually, as much as I hate to burst this bubble (I want jumping included as well), but I just remembered that jumping was indeed implemented in a way. Not sure if it was in Marathon 1, but in M2/Moo, there was a cheat to jump (like in Forge, so it was almost like flying). You can test this yourself by getting Aleph One and enabling cheats. Hold control while typing JUMP.
So Bungie did have the ability, strange how they left it out. I really would like to know if this was implemented in M1 or not.. if not, that might explain its lack again in M2 and Moo. Just for gameplay's standardization's sake. The only reason then it could have been added was for Forge (or at least the program THEY used to make maps themselves.. Vulcan, was it?).
Anyways, I think jumping works just fine in M:R, so please keep it. In fact, I love it. Its more modern, which is the point of this mod anyways. If people don't like it, then they can just play Aleph One (not that thats a bad thing, those people do good work as well). However, I like the premise of this project a bit more. Plus, it looks prettier anyways. :)
