SPEAK YOUR MIND

"Does the distance one travels from center make one more free to move?"

"No. Freedom has two parts: potential and resolution; as metaphor has two parts: form and interpretation. Of course, the two are intertwined. Metaphor lines the road to freedom, as symbols and words are the bricks and mortar of meaning. Freedom is being the bricoleur, the mason."

: Since I don't have any evidence otherwise, I think they

: (they already did in a way with grenades and rockets).
: I'd be happy for somebody to prove me wrong though.
: Anybody have some hard facts?

They left it out, cause it wasn't thought of. All games of that time period didn't have jumping. Wolfenstein, Doom, Marathon, Pathways... Jumping wasn't really needed in those engines, and my bet is on the idea that it was simply not thought of/considered.
