I think jumping should stay in. Levels will have to (and should) undergo some changes, both cosmetic and functional, anyways. Taking jumping out will turn off a lot of people unnecessarily.

Lets put it this way.

If Bungie were making Marathon 1 all over again, would jumping be in there?

I think so, and that's why it should stay.
