SPEAK YOUR MIND

"Does the distance one travels from center make one more free to move?"

"No. Freedom has two parts: potential and resolution; as metaphor has two parts: form and interpretation. Of course, the two are intertwined. Metaphor lines the road to freedom, as symbols and words are the bricks and mortar of meaning. Freedom is being the bricoleur, the mason."

In Response To: Who's new to this? (Lt. Et'he)

: I'm kinda curious, who all here is new to Marathon? M:R
: has been downloaded somewhere between 7-8 thousand
: times as of this posting.

: Most of what I've heard so far sounds like old skoolers
: coming back. Which is pretty neat.

: But I'm curious if the majority of the 8K downloads are
: old skoolers, cause that would mean a very healthy
: population of old Marathon players, especially when
: this is confined to the UT engine.

i imagine that lots of "old skool" hardcore 'thoners were very excited to DL M:R and i also hope that there are lots of new people, because marathon is a game and a story that many poeple should be able to experience.
